Located at the Phoenix Centre on Mile Cross Road, near Norwich city centre, our martial arts club is dedicated to promoting the art of Choi Kwang Do.
As a non-profit charitable organisation, our primary focus is on providing quality training and fostering personal growth among our members.
Choi Kwang Do is a rapidly growing martial art practiced in various countries, including the United Kingdom. In Norwich, we are proud to be one of the two Choi Kwang Do clubs, offering a unique opportunity for individuals in our community to learn this dynamic martial art.

One of the distinguishing aspects of Choi Kwang Do is its yoga-based approach, which not only teaches effective self-defence techniques but also promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Through our training programs, we aim to keep your body in optimal health, emphasising flexibility, balance, and coordination.

To ensure that our instructors are highly qualified and capable, they work together as a team and undergo thorough background checks, including DBS checks. Additionally, they stay up to date with the latest safeguarding strategies and are trained in first aid. The safety of our students is of utmost importance to us, and we take every precaution to provide a secure training environment.
At M&R Choi Kwang Do here in Norwich, we believe in continuous learning and growth. We actively engage with other Choi Kwang Do clubs worldwide, staying updated on the latest techniques and training methods. Periodically, we organise trips to London, where our members have the opportunity to train with experienced instructors and school owners, further expanding their skills and knowledge.

At M&R Choi Kwang Do in Norwich, Norfolk, we are thrilled to welcome you into our martial arts family. To ensure a smooth transition into our community, we offer a complimentary first lesson to all new members. This allows you to experience the essence of Choi Kwang Do first-hand, while also providing an opportunity for you to feel comfortable and welcomed right from the start.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by our friendly staff and instructors. We understand that stepping into a new environment can be both exciting and daunting, so we strive to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere. You will join our main lesson, immersing yourself in the dynamic training session alongside our existing members.
During your first lesson, our dedicated team of assistant instructors and main instructors will be available to guide and support you. They will take the time to provide individual attention and explanations, ensuring that you understand the fundamental principles and techniques of Choi Kwang Do. You will have the opportunity to participate in a full class, allowing you to experience the energy, camaraderie, and effectiveness of our martial art.
At M&R CKD, we believe that martial arts should be accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities. We gladly welcome students starting from the age of 5 and there is no upper age limit. Our doors are open to everyone, regardless of their physical abilities or disabilities.
